FIFA Series Cancelled, America Doesn’t Notice

FIFA

EA has announced that the FIFA series of soccer video games will be canceled and FIFA 2010 will not be released due to financial pressures caused by the global recession. One spokesman went on record saying, “We are all in hard times together and EA Sports cannot afford to make any mistakes that could result in a financial loss. Seriously, who plays soccer anymore anyway? Be sure to pick up Madden 2010 though!”

    “who plays soccer anymore anyway?”

Seeing how FIFA 09 was the best selling sports game on the planet last year I’d say a lot. And also seeing how soccer is the most played, watched and cared about sport in existence, I’d say more people play soccer than any other sport.

But yeah, no one plays it anymore. What’s a Madden 2010? Whatever it is, it sold less and is less played than FIFA 09. The world awaits FIFA ‘10.
